Dreamer Book Cover Design

A project completed for my Junior Graphic Design 153 (Word and Image) course, the assignment was to create a book cover for an imaginary book about dreams or dream interpretation. The cover design should ‘cry out for attention from the shelf’ so potential readers will pick it up and at least read the synopsis on the back. My design for this project features a black and white image of woman’s head with colorful wildlife escaping from it. The contrast between the monochromatic woman and the colorful creatures exiting her head alludes to the colorful and fantastical quality dreams can have.
