Alt-Oil Giftbox

This gift box was created for my senior Graphic Design 253 (Brand Experience) final project. The assignment was to create a food product that filled a gap in the current market, and design corresponding branding/packaging for the product. I noticed that healthier cooking oil options were often expensive and had packaging that did not stand up visually to their artisan olive oil or commercial canola oil counterparts. Given the popularity of healthy cooking alternatives I felt that an ornately designed gift box of sample oils would be the perfect solution to the issue of price as well as visual appeal. The Art Nouveau inspired packaging is intended to serve as both eye-catching on a grocery store shelf as well as “giftable” in a retail setting.
