Student Senate Logo Redesign

After being elected to Lehigh University’s Student Senate as a freshman my first thought upon seeing an official memo was, “Why has no one done anything about this outdated logo?” When I was elected Public Relations/Communications chair the following year, my first order of business was to get University approval for the first logo change since the inception of the Undergraduate Student Senate in 1987. After receiving said approval, I designed 5 options to be voted on by Senate’s 55 members. The winning design features a silhouette of the University’s most iconic building, the University Center, which is additionally the location of all full Senate meetings. The six stars are representative of the six standing committees that have existed and evolved throughout the organization’s thirty years.
